Ellen Santaniello has enjoyed an international
performing career as a singer and percussionist in music from a
broad range of styles and historical periods, including medieval
polyphony, Baroque oratorio, Romantic art song, American popular
song, folk music from around the world, and original pop music.
She was the co-founder of the women's early vocal trio ZORGINA,
with whom she toured and recorded from 1993 - 2005. In addition
to appearances as a soloist with New England-based orchestras,
she has appeared with the Boston Camerata, Ensemble Oni Wytars
(Germany), Ensemble Unicorn (Austria), The Terra Nova Consort,
and Hesperus. Ellen has an MA in vocal performance from the Longy
School of Music in Cambridge, MA, and is on the voice faculty at
Rhode Island College. She has recorded on the Naxos, Deutsche Helicon/Raumklang,
Twinberg, and Erato labels.
